Alternatively the following videos are designed to help your business (support settings) to become more deaf-friendly and accessible to people with a hearing loss. For in-depth training, please view our ‘Deaf Awareness Training for All Settings (incl. BSL Manual Alphabet)’, which gives insight into the many ways people can be affected by a hearing loss and how to ensure your workplace is fully accessible to the Deaf community; this twenty-five minute training also includes the manual alphabet, which can be used to spell anything to deaf sign language users, a highly useful communication skill.

The other resources on this page contain tips to communicate more clearly with deaf people and British Sign Language suited to specific settings; these resources are approximately five minutes in duration.

The resources that are currently available are for Dentists, Health Care Workers, Receptionists, Paramedics and Medical Staff, Swimming Coaches, Driving Instructors, Sports Coaches, Fire Service and ‘safe and well’ visitors.
