Short Breaks Local Offer

Shortbreaks Local Offer is an initiative funded by Hertfordshire County Council. Short breaks offer disabled children and young people the chance to spend time out with others socialising and doing fun activities, giving their families a break and providing them with the confidence their child is well supported by a trained worker.

If your child is over five years old, we will contact you regarding signing up for Shortbreaks funding when you become a member. This will mean that Phoenix will receive funding that contribute towards your child’s independent activities.

Registering for the Short Breaks Local offer is your decision, however if you book an activity with Phoenix for a child who is not registered, you will be charged the full cost of that activity. For example, children attending an archery session costs SBLO children just £5, for non SBLO children it costs £21.

Once you have booked SBLO activities through the Phoenix booking system, cancellation of those activities will result in the loss of your allocated hours. Please see our Activity Cancellation policy here which explains our terms and conditions for refunds.
