We are currently producing a library of BSL resources for members to access for free and for businesses and other users to pay a subscription for. We will let members know when this is available.
Children in Need
This project currently runs during school holiday periods and once a month on a Saturday. We have also started to visit Knightsfield School regularly during lunchtimes to form positive relationships with members whilst delivering fun activities.
Time to Connect
These are activities where children aged 8+ can be left with Phoenix staff to participate in fun and learning opportunities. These activities are part funded by the Short breaks Local Offer - Please see further information on Short Breaks in ‘Members information’.
This project is funded by the Edward Gostling Foundation and the Lotteries Community Fund with the aim of Phoenix Plus Members (18-30s) increasing their fitness, reducing isolation and improving mental health.
This project has allowed us continuation of individual support to members, family support and also to members of the community supporting deafness, which had been affected by the Coronavirus. Funded by Herts Community Foundation.
Friday is a day of creativity for Phoenix Plus members who lead on this project. This is a great way to help improve mental health and wellbeing whilst also giving young adults the opportunity to develop their leadership skills.
