BSL Resources

We have a library of BSL Resources which are free for our membership, you will find these on our BSL training page.

Hatchlings Group, Holiday Activities (0-4 years)

This is a pre -school group, funded by the NDCS, delivered in school holiday periods with the aim of supporting language development for children and their families.

Chicks Group (in partnership with HCC Teachers of the Deaf) (0-4 years)

Phoenix staff provide support at these weekly, term time sessions held in Stevenage and led by qualified teachers of deaf children. Short Breaks Local Offer (SBLO) – Holiday activities (5-17 years)

These are activities where children aged 5+ can participate in fun, social and learning opportunities. Parents or Carers must stay at activities with children aged 5-7 years. Children aged 8+ attending our Flyers / Youth activities can be supervised by Phoenix staff however if your child is worried about attending independently, parents are welcome to stay until they are happy to stay. If your child aged 8+ has specific care needs, please discuss further with us, we are unable to provide personal care. These activities are funded by Hertfordshire County Council’s Short Breaks Local Offer - Please see further information on Short Breaks in ‘Members information’.

Knightsfield and Heathlands Schools Friendship Groups (Youth)

We deliver weekly sessions within the schools which aims to reduce loneliness at lunchtimes, increase friendships and develop skills.

Duke of Edinburgh Award (Youth)

Phoenix Plus Life Skills (17-30 years)

We deliver a term time weekly session for young adults with the aim of increasing life skills.

Phoenix Plus Social Activities (17-30 years)

During college holiday periods, Phoenix Plus meet to enjoy a social activity together.

Family Activities

Throughout the year we will deliver families activities which provide opportunities for families to chat with other members, socialise and support one another.
