Find films with subtitles at your local cinema!

This website lets you know which film (where, when and at what time) will have subtitles in the cinema. Most of the cinemas all round the UK are listed in this website. (Including Scotland, Wales, North Ireland, South Ireland, Isle of Man and Isle of Wight) You can search by finding your local cinema or pick a film and it will list all cinemas with subtitles. Website is usually updated every Monday (Sometimes later in week).

The Magic Deaf

This is the BEST website for any BSL events in galleries and museums!

This website gives you all the details of galleries and museums around England for example Tate Modern, Museum of London, etc. The website also provides BSL videos about what’s on the website.

Go on “Events” and you can see the calendar. There are coloured boxes, yellow is for events and red is for selected events. If you click on them it will give you event details like what the event is called, where it is, date, time, what communication method, address, transport, etc.

It is theatre with Deaf actors. There is a theatre show called Lipstick and Lollipops. Look at the links below for Deafinitely Theatre and Lipstick and Lollipops tour details.

Here some details about the show:

Lipstick and Lollipops follows Isabel, a Deaf teenager who moves to London with her mother.

Unsettled, Isabel rebels by escaping to a late party. As the night unfolds, Isabel confronts the past she has been hiding for so long.

Theatre in BSL

This website is called “Theatre Sign”. There is a list of theatre shows with BSL interpreter. You can book any of the shows up to next year October 2010! Make sure you let them know that you want to use the BSL interpreter when you book so you can get a seat near the BSL interpreter. Most of the theatre shows are held in London.

The “Stage Text” website is for captioned theatres from different places like London, Cambridge, Birmingham, etc. They will give you list of captioned shows and if you select any of them it will give you details about the show, booking, address, etc.
